Warning! Don’t jump on the treadmill when it’s at high speed. Its pretty dangerous as you may fall

  • Hey Dr Kevin, just did your hiit treadmill workout and I loved it, kept up with you. Feels awesome now, my question is can i do this every day? Because in the video you said every other day? Please let me do it everyday and what stretches should i do afterwards? I had a running injury because i was running 10k every day without stretching, herniated a disc in my lower back. But i miss running so much, it's been 2 years and i'm fully recovered now and have been getting my core strong with pilates. miss the running buzz, can feel it a bit after your workout!! Boom!

  • Big Red says:

Only way you lose fat is through calorie deficit, HIIT doesn’t burn more calories in a 20 min workout compared to 20 mins of steady cardio at 8.7 mph

  • Panos Spec says:

I saw your video about hiit training on treadmill that lasts 20 minute and you said at the end that it should be done maximum 3 time a week. I want to ask you can I use the treadmill or bike not for this kind of workout for cardio exercise if I go to the gym in order to heat up also for example 20 minutes treadmill jogging at 6 miles for example or walking at 5 miles, the day after I performed the hiit workout?

  • Aedriyuna says:

I thought 6mph was hard when i started, just keep working and it will be a breeze soon. 6 will be like a walk lol

  • Aedriyuna says:

i can do 8mph but im getting on 9mph!

  • USMLE world says:

I think it's kph, not mph. He looks like jogging

  • narienne1 says:

I just completed this workout and I left the machine feeling amazing. I was more sweaty in this short workout then my 40 mins jogging

  • cyndy vang says:

Tried this for the first time today! I usually run at speed 6. I pushed myself to run speed 8 up to 9. Oh boy! My legs are sore in places they've never been before! Love it! Going to keep going 3x a week. Hope to see results!

  • I was able to do 1 mile in less than 12 mins. I was so happy. I was so slow last week with my jogging /running that I was discouraged but his morning, oh my word!! I was able to follow through and burned like 200 calories in the time that i was on the treadmill, double the calories in the same time of my previous workout which I was at 10 inclined and the jogging was at 3-4. Amazing!! Just a little push. I am glad I did it!! Thanks so much. i do have a question..For how long should I practice my 20 mins..to be ready to increase to 30 mins? Meaning days or weeks.

  • Y. Shirotani says:

This man is running 10 mph max. Nonetheless HIIT has been by far the most efficient way for me to burn fat and increase my VO2 max.

  • Thank you for providing these free resources πŸ™‚

  • Im a soccer athlete who practices 4x a week and I just got back from a hamstring injury that took me out for 2 months, is this workout good for regaining my speed and endurance?

  • Monique G. says:

Fun workout! I kept my incline at 1 and was sprint was at 7mph, which seemed fast enough for met. However, my max heart rate was in the 140 range and I didn’t break into a full sweat. What do you recommend so I can get more out of this? Increase speed or incline?thanks!

  • Amazing!!! Definitely my Sunday, Tuesday, and Thursday workout!!!!Then will move on to 30 min!! Thank you so much!! I LOVED IT!!!

  • Sarah Shave says:

First time back running in a while! Smashed it! Great work out.

  • Chari Carter says:

This workout is amazing. This was day 2 and I will be part of my regular regime!

  • Hi Dr Sarich, great video that I have incorporated into my fitness routine. I am 5'6", so 9.6 mph seems to be a good sprint for me. My question is about my heart rate, which will top out around 160, then fall to around 120 after the 90 sec rests… Is this sufficient?

  • Thanks I use this weekly.

  • jaime perez says:

8:28 "#1 excuse white people don't workout…" what? Had to re-watch it lol

  • I dis this workout three times already and I love it because it is helping me run faster and have more resistance. I have a request. Could you please post another video but with incline intervals?

  • kayya75k says:

This is exactly what I needed. Tysm

  • LeaveLeague says:

I slow the treadmill cuz I fly off way to many time I max out the speed

  • Than you 🌹

  • i am going to be a bride next year and i have to loose 12 kilos. i know i can do this but its going to be so hard!!!

  • I usually start with light walk in 5.5 mph with 6 or 7 incline for 5 mins. Then light jog in 7 to 7.5 mph for 3 mins then rest by walking 5.5 mph for 2 mins then run 10 to 11 mph for 30 secs then rest for 10 secs β€” repeat for 5 times then light walk again. I haven’t tried this but would be happy to give a try πŸ’ͺ🏼πŸ’ͺ🏼

  • Jonas Karam says:

Dr Kevin? Is it like bad for your body if you do this everyday, coz I asked my teacher and he said β€˜β€™As long as you eat healthy and get enough sleep it’s okay’’

  • LD JD says:

I'm clumsy & found this type of sprint training to be more enjoyable (because i feel safer πŸ˜‚) done outdoors. Very challenging but highly effective πŸ‘πŸ»

  • Tom Edwards says:

This workout works like crazy! I have been going to gym and no modifications of diet. I went from 180lbs to 174 in 4 weeks. I did resistance training and grew some muscle. My waist will now fit a 32 inch jeans from 34! I feel better, cheers from London UK doc! πŸ‘πŸ‡¬πŸ‡§

  • Gabe Ochoa says:

Is 10mph fast enough for this work out my treadmill only goes up to 10

  • mfay says:

1st round was on treadmill, 2nd round, instead of treadmill, I did burpees with a pushup. Now that was tough, but made it through. For me at least a minimum of 3 times a week.

  • Pierrick says:

Hello, Thanks for this video. I have a little question. At which % of the Max Heart rate we are suppose to be at the end of the recovery rate?

  • FATTayamee says:

would it be okay to do this 3 times a week for 20 mins, but then after just walk at like 3.5 for extra 10 mins so i get 30 mins of cardio, wouldnt be unhealthy would it, with only doing it 3 times a week, and im intermittent fasting? thanks for the help

  • I LOVE THIS WORKOUT AFTER A WEEK I LOST 8 POUNDS THANK YOU SO MUCH

  • Zee J says:

He told me to run towards paradise and I ran my ass off

  • xKyriie says:

how many times a week would u recommend doing this

  • Ulysses says:

I thought the "rest" period was supposed to be a walk at 3.5-4.0. I didn't know rest was actually rest.

  • I'm winded this is just what I needed. Thanks

  • I will be doing this at minimum 4 times a weeks

  • T W says:

Thanks for the video. I do this for 8 rounds before every workout. Great way to get my day started.

  • This is INSANE! I love it!

  • Mary Winn says:

WARNING TO MAKE SURE YOU KNOW THE RIGHT SPEED AND MODIFY THIS WORKOUT FOR YOU. These videos are great but I jumped on the treadmill after the warm-up at 9mph (which I've done before) and completely pulled my quad. I couldn't run again for 2 weeks. I had to modify this workout by doing a warm up at which I walked for 5 min and ran at 5.5-6mph for 5min before increasing the speed to 9mph as I went (first starting with 8, then 8.5, then up to 9 and above). Work up to your highest speed if need be and make sure your muscles are warm before starting the sprint… I don't think that is emphasized enough or at all in these videos.
