The best way to beat boredom on a treadmill is to stop running on it and start training on it.

I like to mix treadmill runs with street runs for variety and to keep my body in the best running shape for running season.

Today’s training run was all about the incline on my treadmill. I will work on incline runs all week.

When I add in extra intensity like incline runs I focus on just one intensity increase at a time and like to keep that schedule for a week.

4.5% incline

@ Mile 3.25
5.0 % incline
5.0 speed

@ Mile 3.75 to 4.0
6.0 incline
5.0 speed
