What is a "target heart rate"?
I am 66 and run/walk with a finger monitor to reach an aerobic heart rate range of about 110 bpm (plus or minus ten) and KEEP IT WITHIN THAT RANGE FOR about 20 MINUTES three or four times per week.
I'm 20 years old and weigh 165 pounds. I've started going on the treadmill recently and I've noticed that say I run 2-3 miles with a speed of 7-8mph, my heart rate reaches 185 near the end. What should I do to lower my heart rate without having to lower the speed? Thanks.
great resource! =) i need to improve my explaining skills. =P
